Young Life is engaging in limited person-to-person ministry in states and counties that are allowing gatherings. In places with stay-at-home orders in place, we continue to connect with kids online and through social media.
FOR FURTHER INFORMATION, PLEASE READ THIS STATEMENT FROM YOUNG LIFE
In the late 1970's Young Life Leaders began showing young people how much God cares about them by showing up in their world and sharing the message of God's love through Jesus in ways and words they could understand and relate to.
Northside volunteers serve in a variety of ways to further our mission of reaching young people. From mentoring a teen mom to serving on a finance committee, there is a need and great opportunity for adults to share their time, talent and treasure. We also partner with like-minded churches and community organizations.
Our context is the city. Whether it's teen moms, kids with disabilities, public school kids, immigrant kids, Young Life leaders are walking alongside a diverse array of young people, living and attending to school on the densely populated North side.
We value quality over quantity of relationships, long-term commitment to kids, life-on-life discipleship. We cultivate community where kids know they are loved, valued and belong. We help young people develop as leaders to impact their community.
Volunteer your time to work directly with young people.
Support the staff and leaders as part of the local adult committee.
Give resources to start or sustain the financial foundation at the local or national level.
